Next Concert: Acappella Road Presents: The Real Group
Coming all the way from Sweden, The Real Group is a world-class, internationally-renowned vocal ensemble specializing in pop, jazz, folk, and choral music presented in their signature a cappella style. For over 40 years, The Real Group has delighted audiences all around the world with an extensive library of over 200 songs, highlighting a wide variety of genres in both English and Swedish. This summer, they are joining forces with Acappella Road, Calgary's premier men's barbershop chorus, to celebrate the magic of harmony together in a one-night-only concert experience you won't want to miss. They will also be featuring the Chamber Choir and Ruby Vocal Jazz ensembles from the award-winning music program at Calgary's own Bishop Carroll High School, uplifting the next generation of singers in our great city. Join us on June 4th at the magnificent Bella Concert Hall for an unforgettable evening of song!

Our chorus welcomes tenor and bass singers who are interested in immersing themselves in the world of barbershop harmony. Whether you're just starting out, coming back after a long break, or been performing for years - if you love to sing, we have a spot for you in our chorus! Alberta Harmony Platoon 2015, sponsored by Western Hospitality Singers, was held in Red Deer at Wild Rose Harmonizers' rehearsal venue, the Church of Christ in Davenport on May 2nd. Twenty-one singers from four Alberta choruses attended, singing one song drawn from four prepared songs in luck of draw quartets, for three rounds.
Welcome! We look forward to seeing you, and perhaps singing with you in a quartet. (Quartets are established by ‘luck of the draw’, so if we don’t get into a formal quartet, maybe we can sing one or more of the songs informally.)
