Competing against a strong field of quartets from across the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada, Alloy finished 8th in their contest debut at the recent EVG District Quartet Contest with an overall score of 73.7.
Their appearance in the top 10 marks the first time in decades that an Alberta-based quartet has advanced to the 2nd round of this contest. They are excited with their result (and scores) and are looking forward to improve upon them in 2023!

How do you celebrate a birthday and still maintain social distancing?
Happy Birthday to Ann McCracken. The Favourite Four sang for Ann while she sat on her driveway. The quartet sang while standing six feet away from each other and everyone else. Calgary Alberta social distancing and physical distancing rules to combat the spread of COVID-19 dictate that people can't have big parties for significant birthdays. So Ann's family hired the Faves to come sing for her outside her home.

The Favourite Four tried their first rehearsal by JamKazam. JamKazam is a low latency internet jam session.
COVID-19 has required social distancing which has made it difficult to get together for rehearsals.
It was great to sing together again.
Attitude Adjustment had its second successful Zoom rehearsal. We learned a tag and sang four of our repertoire.
"We must keep singing." declared lead, Granger Low.
Social distancing during the COVID-19 global pandemic has prevented face-to-face rehearsals. So the quartet has moved to Zoom rehearsals.
We found a way around the internet latency. It felt good to sing again.
