The men of Vocal Vortex are going to be very busy helping to build and share the Christmas spirit this season. We are proud to be singing for many groups and organizations in the Calgary area, including community outreach groups, fundraisers, historical site visitors and private corporate functions, with more on the way. ’Tis the season!
The Executives are pleased to announce they will be performing some a cappella Christmas classics on City TV Edmonton's Dinner TV on Friday, December 4. They'll be providing musical entertainment for the Christmas Tree Show & Sale in the parking lot of the Home Depot at 6725 104 Street in Edmonton. This event supports the Edmonton Food Bank by providing 500 fresh Christmas Trees for a minimum donation of $10/tree. The quartet will be donating their time on December 5 and providing festive a cappella entertainment at the finish line of the 25th annual Santa Shuffle Fun Run & Elf Walk in Edmonton-AB. This is Vocal Vortex's second year singing on the route for Run For The Cure. Our objective is to sing and cheer on the thousands of runners, walkers and fund raisers who participate in the event in Calgary. The Executives are pleased to confirm we will be singing at Luminaria at the Devonian Botanic Garden again this year. We are also pleased to confirm we will be singing on both evenings (Dec 5/6) and sharing the festive wintry weather with our friends from Thumbs Up quartet. Vocal Vortex was crowned 2015 Division III Novice Quartet Champions at the annual competition on May 30th. We're really excited about this award and we thank our fellow barbershoppers at Western Hospitality for their support and encouragement.
