The Favourite Four sang Happy Birthday for Phil Fontaine, a well known first nations leader and celebrity.
Mr. Fontaine was National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) for an unprecedented three terms. Under his leadership the AFN negotiated both the Kelowna Accord and the Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement.
The Faves shared the stage with the Celtic band Fraid Knot for an evening of celebration. Happy Birthday, Phil.
In the Alberta Barbershop Convention and Contest on May 25 2019 the Faves won second place. Singing The Colorado Trail and I'm Into Something Good the Faves earned a score of 66.8%. Twelve quartets competed.
Attitude Adjustment were awarded the novice champion quartet award at the Alberta Barbershop Convention and Contest in Red Deer on May 25 2019. Two of our singers had never competed in a barbershop contest before. Can you guess which two?
When Costco hired a new assistant manager, the Faves were invite to welcome him. He heard My Girl with modified lyrics to feature Costco in the song. The Faves toured around the wholesale club store serenading Costco employees and customers. And there were some great buys there too -- at least one quartet member's family came away with some treasured purchases.
A memorial service for one of our friends, Duane Neville, was held January 26 2019. As a tribute to him and a service to his family, Take Heart sang A Few Good Men, a fitting tribute to this great patriarch.
On October 20th, 2017, 16 men from WHS performed at United Active Living's Fish Creek North Facility for an appreciative group of senior residents.
